Hello! Welcome to Gaming Warlords!
This website is all about the Dynasty Warriors series by Koei. We are obsessed with everything that goes with this series, and that includes delving into the history of the Three Kingdoms era, on which the aforementioned series is based upon. Please feel free to look around, and sign our guestbook before you go! We would like to hear what you think of this, whether it's positive or negative comments!
All of the links below are internal links to pages on our website. Each include my personal review of each game and, where possible, a number of screenshots.

This page is just to give you some background information on us Gaming Warlords. Currently, there are only two of us, but this will expand in the future.
Gaming Warlord No.1, JD Whitby.
The creator of this entire website, bar its pictorial content, which was borrowed
from other sites. I've been playing games since I was given a NES. Since I was
a kid then, I couldn't play many games, but this changed a lot in more recent
times when I got a Playstation (Granted, I had other consoles, but my Playstation
allowed me to expand my interest in games a lot). Since then I've been into
games big-style, in fact they almost take over me. Recently, I've been tempted
away from games by hardcore music, which is why I've put links to websites related
to hardcore on the Favourite Websites page, but I keep coming back to Dynasty
Warriors 3 - Xtreme Legends. I personally can't wait until DW4 comes out now,
as I've been wanting to get it since I heard of the release back in November
2002. I'll get a review of one form or another onto this website as soon as
I've had a week to play it. By the way, I am represented by Liu Bei in pictorial
format up the page because I usually pick Liu Bei in Versus mode. Each Gaming
Warlord develops a favourite character after a few hours of play, but also through
the storyline. Liu Bei prefers to be more diplomatic than a fighter, which is
what I feel like when I'm playing DW3 - XL sometimes. Other times I prefer to
be Lu Bu, because his temper flairs up easily, I pick him when I'm angry with
something. The picture is a shot of Liu Bei from the Chang Ban FMV.
Gaming Warlord No.2, SJ Whitby.
My brother, who assists me greatly on the Dynasty Warriors series, and gave
me much information for various sections of these pages. He too has been playing
games for a long time, since the NES. He is more into the Dynasty Warriors than
me, which takes some doing. He usually picks Cao Cao in Versus mode, which is
why he is represented in pictorial form by a shot of Cao Cao from The Yellow
Turbans Rebellion FMV. Since we received a Playstation, though, games have taken
over his life too. He buys more games than me still, but then I own a GameCube.
His favourite console is definately still the Playstation 2, and probably will
be until the UK release of the PS3. I am trying to drag myself onto the GameCube
as my favourite console, but that's not possible because of the fact that the
Dynasty Warriors series is not available on it. He too wishes that DW4 would
come out quickly now, as he has been wanting to get it since looking at DW4
screenshots in February 2003. Thankfully for him, music doesn't tempt him away
from games like it does with me, but he's actually starting to like music now
(at last!). His favourite character is Cao Cao at the moment, but we are both
trying to successfully complete every character completely (that means getting
all of the stats, points, weapons) and getting all of the items up to the maximum,
as well as beating the top scores on all of the high-score tables in DW3 - XL.
As you can probably guess, this is taking a bit of time. We are also now both
obsessed with Dynasty Tactics (See the relevant page when it's finished for
information), which is a strategy game.

(Seal Of Approval is only given out to the games/sites we REALLY think deserve them. These games MUST score 9.0 or higher to get the SOA. Should we rate a game 8.0 - 8.9, then we will give them the Try It Out award. The games that get this award are very good, but not quite good enough in our opinion to be obsessed with (like us here at Gaming Warlords). Don't forget that this is our opinion, and if you think we were too generous with a rating, or too hard on a particular game, then email us at the address above, and tell us what you think briefly, what we missed out and what you would rate the game as. As for sites, these are a different matter and you should tell who made the site what is wrong with their site. However please tell us if a link to a site doesn't work or the site is offensive, so that we can look at it and decide what to do about it.)
